First Quote, I have hear this around my house many times and for different reason. I think that it shows that your parent know whats going to happen and know whats best. Vanessa's parents said this because she claimed that she was in love and was going to move away. Her parents didn't agreed with what she said and this is what they thought. Its memorable to me because it happens a lot more now then it used to.
Second Quote, "only in New York.." The Crazies things happen in New York. Your wildest and weirdest things that you have ever thought of can be found there. The reason for this being said is that there was a dog the Vanessa had walked up on, and it had shoes, a hat, a coat, and everything else a human being would have in there wardrobe. Only in New York will you ever see that.
Third Quote, Being in school and hearing people ask if we will ever use the knowledge in the real world starts to get funny after a while. This is why it was memorable to me, because I hear about it all the time.
